Whether we happen to be new believers or those who have walked with the Lord for many years, our Heavenly Father has given us the joy and privilege of praying to Him. However, we all seem to struggle with this gift of prayer, often treating prayer less as a privilege to enjoy and more as a chore to neglect. When we do pray, distractions can easily crowd our minds, and our requests can become more about what we want than about what God wants. No wonder, then, that God would feel so distant when we pray.
So where should our focus be when we pray, and what should we ask for? This class will seek to recapture the joy and privilege of God-centered prayer, using Jesus’ own teaching on prayer as our inspiration and guide. As we explore the amazing depth of Jesus’ teaching on prayer, we’ll see how incorporating His teaching into how we pray will draw us nearer to the very heart of God and His glory. Be ready to dig deeply into God’s Word and see our lives transformed to be more like Christ as we learn to pray God’s way and for God’s glory. In this class, we’ll see how God invites us, through His Word, into an intimacy with Himself that goes beyond all that we can ask or think.
Are you ready to draw near to the heart of God through prayer? Are you ready to be on fire for the glory of God? Are you ready to leave behind mediocre and selfish prayers and rise up as a prayer warrior for the Kingdom of God? Then join us on Wednesday night, where we’ll have Jesus Himself be our teacher through His Word.
