Why do you believe what you believe? What evidence or reasons can you show to validate your worldview? How do you know what you believe is true? Apologetics is the study that shows how and why the Christian faith is grounded in truth through reasons and evidences which bring down the walls of unbelief, skepticism, and uncertainty.
As Christians we should have compelling and grounded answers for our own intellectual integrity as well as sharing with non-believers. Here is an opportunity for you to know how Christianity is grounded in history, science, philosophy, and reality. Learn the truth claims of Christianity and how you can be intellectually justified. We will discuss how the philosophical underpinnings of the Christian faith make sense and are compelling for the rational person.
The class is meant for the Christian and non-Christian who hopes to deepen his understanding of why and how Christians believe the things they do. Topics include biblical, scientific, philosophical, theological, experiential, and cultural apologetics. The class will benefit all who are seeking, struggling, or even skeptical. It will especially benefit those with teenage children who will be subjected to the pervasive pluralistic worldviews in a secular and postmodern culture.
Apologetics allows direct access to Jesus by removing intellectual barriers. Learn how Christianity corresponds with reality better than any other worldview or set of beliefs.
