No book of the Bible has fascinated people more than the book of Revelation. Yet no New Testament book is more ignored from the pulpits than Revelation. Many pastors choose not to teach it either because they don’t understand it or they do not see its relevance. Revelation glorifies Jesus Christ more than any other book of the Bible. It is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Some have called it “the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” The word “Revelation” refers to an unveiling of something once hidden. What this book unveils is Jesus in all His glory ministering among the churches. It speaks of His judgments on a world that has rejected Him; His desire to reach the unsaved even after the departure of the Church in the rapture; His preservation of a Jewish remnant when the Antichrist seeks their annihilation; His coming again with His Church to rule and reign over the earth ultimately casing the False Prophet, the Antichrist and Satan into hell. It speaks of the final great victory of the church. In the end, “We win!”
